FLORENCE-Kennedy Douglass Center for the Arts will host a Tai Chi/Qigong workshop led by Gary Padgett for World Tai Chi and Qigong Day on Saturday, April 25, at 10:00am – 11:00am. This workshop is designed for individuals, families, and all levels of mobility. The purpose of World Tai Chi and Qigong Day is to promote health, healing, and global harmony by bringing people together across borders to practice these ancient arts and share their benefits with their local communities. Participants will need loose clothing or athletic wear, flat bottom tennis shoes, and positive thoughts to share with a global community.
The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts is located at 217 E Tuscaloosa Street, Florence, AL, and is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The event will be held at Southall House, just next to the Art Center office, at 209 E.
