FLORENCE-The Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts Volunteers are pleased to continue their Art Adventure Series with a focus on “Synesthesia”. This program is scheduled for Sun., February 16th, 2-4:00 p.m. at the KDAC and will be presented by art instructor, Elizabeth Renault. This series offers free art history presentations for teens and adults.
In this second program of the 2025 Art Adventure Series, presenter Elizabeth Renault explores the art of people who use their synesthetic condition to paint or play music. Synesthesia is a condition where one sensory pathway leads to involuntary experiences in a second sensory pathway. Some people paint what they hear; some paint what they see when using their sense of touch or smell. Different sensual overlaps produce a variety of experiences and artworks.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about this unique creative process!
Art Adventure Series will be offered every third Sunday afternoon, January-March, at the KDAC. For more information on scheduled topics, go to the KDAC website calendar florencealmuseums.com.
