Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Sylvia Grimes Hankins, age 82, are incomplete at this time.
Mrs. Hankins; a retired employee of the Milan Arsenal , baker for Ingram’s IGA, and a member of the Dyer United Pentecostal Church; passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Hankins was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Hankins; her parents, Charlie Grimes and Ida Grimes; eight siblings, Johnny Frank Grimes, Mary Tom Cook, Clarence Grimes, David Grimes, Paul Grimes, James Grimes, Marie Smith, and Neda Faye Edwards; and daughter, Cindy.
Mrs. Hankins is survived by her sons, Jerry, Marty, Stevie, and Jeff Hankins; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and 17 nieces and nephews.
