Sylvia Ellis Corry, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 8, 2023. She passed from this earthly life to her heavenly life with her family by her side at Ridgeview Nursing Home. She was born on June 25, 1928.
Mrs. Corry was preceded in death by her Parents-Elbert Lee Tubbs and Pearl Sparks Tubbs; her two Loving husbands-Wm. Belton Ellis and James Harold Corry; Son-Randall Kent Ellis; Grandson-Belton Lee Ellis, Sr.; Stepson-Charles Richard Corry and Stepdaughter-Mary Jo Glenn.
She is survived by her Son-Gary Ellis (Linda); Stepson-James Corry (Sandra); Step Daughter-in-law-Stephanie Corry; Grandchildren-Michael Ellis, Rusti Ellis Harris (Clint), Chloe Corry, Cashan Corry, Gus Corry and Grace Corry; Great Grandchildren-Belton Lee Ellis, Jr., Laurel Elizabeth Ellis, Nelson Corbell Olive, Hunter Harris and Cade Harris.
Sylvia was a longtime member of Sixth Avenue Church of Christ, Business and Professional Women of Jasper and Jasper Pilot Club. She loved her Lord, her family, her church family and her community.
Her services will be Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Sixth Avenue Church of Christ with visitation for friends from 12:00 until 1:00 and services at 1:00. Brother Levi Sides and Brother Anthony Gilbreath will officiate. Flowers will be accepted. She loved her flowers.
