Sylvia Ann Johnson, age 87, of Athens passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Johnson was born March 7, 1930 in Detroit, MI to Michael Kostanecki and Wanda Wozny.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Johnson; parents, and one sister.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons, Kenneth Jonson and wife Freida of Trinity, AL and Jeff Johnson of Athens, AL; daughter, Beverly Gaston and husband Jack of Athens, AL; brother, Marvin Kostanecki of Detroit, MI; sister, Florence Zagata of St. Clair Shore, MI; grandchildren, Nicole Gaston of Montgomery, AL, Amanda Foss and husband Don of Athens, AL, Nina Martin and husband Timmy of Athens, AL, Kathryn Hall and husband Josh of Trinity, AL, Jessica Beasley and husband Cody of Athens, AL and William Johnson and wife Jessica of Bowling Green, KY; 4 Great-grandsons; 2 Great-granddaughters.
Services for Mrs. Johnson will be Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Greg Lauderback officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2017 prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Beasley, Timmy Martin, William Johnson, Josh Hall and Don Foss.
