Syble Davis Davenport, age 86, of Leighton, AL, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Her family will receive friends Friday, 11-1 p.m. at Shady Grove Methodist Church with her funeral service following in the church sanctuary. Rev. Glenn Conner and Dennis Conner will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Davenport was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, William Davenport, infant daughter Vicky Lynn Davenport, her parents Jessie and Berta Davis, sisters, Opal Dupuy and Joan Conner Klinger.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Davenport and wife Janet, of Ford City; grandchildren, , Brandon Davenport of Ford City , Brent Davenport and wife Jackie of Birmingham and great granddaughter, Kathryn Davenport.
Pallbearers are Danny Davenport, Darrell Johnson, Pinkie Willard, Wayne Evans, Arvy Dupuy, and Kenny Jones.
Honorary Pallbearer is Scotty Jones.
