Suzanne Sorrells Suzanne was born on January 26, 1975 in Amory, MS to the late Pete Sorrells and the late Julia Dean Roden.  She was a 1993 graduate of Sulligent High School.  Suzanne attended Bevill State Community College and transferred to the University of Alabama where she graduated with a double degree in English and History.  After graduation she was employed with Catalis, a software company, as a support analyst/specialist.  She loved and appreciated her employment for approximately 28 years.  Suzanne’s warmth and kindness were a gift to those who knew her.  She had the ability to find happiness in daily activities, and her pleasant personality was contagious.

As a lifelong artist she discovered the love for art at an early age while creating Barbie doll art with elegant detail and facial expression.  Later, this sparked a passion to captivate art of the British Royal Family where she left behind a stunning and unique collection.  Beyond her talent of art, Suzanne was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling the states with her sister Marilyn, and loved her cat, Salem.  She was of the Methodist faith.

Suzanne is survived by a loving sister, Marilyn Mixon who she shared a home with in Tuscaloosa, AL.  She was preceded in death by her caring parents, Jerry and Julia Dean Mixon, and a brother Mike Mixon, all of Beaverton, AL.
