Suzanne Marie Hair Vandiver was born October 26, 1951, the daughter of the late Sam Haywood and Marget Marie Stroup Hair.
Mrs. Vandiver attended UT at Martin and was on the barrel racing team there. Later she received her masters from UT in Knoxville, TN where Suzanne was part of the Alpha Delta Chapter of Sigma Kappa. She was a retired Social Worker and served on the Governor’s Social Workers Board of TN. Mrs. Vandiver was a member of; Good Hope Baptist Church in Adamsville, TN, Rainbow Mother Advisor, Eastern Star and a Girl Scout Leader. She loved anything to do with chickens, traveling and UT Vols. She also loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Vandiver departed this life on May 3, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 6 Months, 7 Days.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Vandiver Hammock and husband Jimmy of Adamsville, TN, Michelle Hall and husband Drake of Southaven, MS; two grandchildren, Ethan Hammock, Caroline Hammock; two sisters, Janet Jones and husband Alan, Nina Brewer and husband Richie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vandiver was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Vandiver.
