Joel “Joey” Blasingame
FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect for selling cars and not being able to provide clear titles on November 18:
“Joel “Joey” Blasingame was arrested on warrants stemming from an investigation into a car lot that was previously owned by Mr. Blasingame.
Investigators became involved with this case after a number of victims stated that they had purchased vehicles from Mr. Blasingame and he was unable to provide title to the vehicles.
The investigation revealed that Mr. Blasingame did not have the right to sell the vehicle in one case. In the remaining cases, Mr. Blasingame is accused of failing to provide clear titles to the victims.
He was a arrested on November 18 and released after posting bond totaling $8,000.00.”
