LAUDERDALE COUNTY-An arrest has been made in te shooting that took place in Center Star on Wednesday, February 1.
Lee Martin, Jr. was arrested after Lauderdale county deputies answered a call regarding a shooting. When deputies arrived at County Road 412 at around 8:45 PM on Wednesday evening they found the suspect barricaded inside a home.
The standoff lasted for less than an hour. After making contact with the suspect Martin surrendered to authorities.
According to the Sheriff’s Department a female was shot in the leg and had been transported to ECM Hospital for treatment.
Martin has been charged with attempted murder and remains in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
