Anthony Melson
DECATUR-The Decatur Police made an arrest in the theft of a truck on Sunday, August 9th. Here is the statement from the Decatur Police on the arrest of one suspect:
“On August 9th, 2015 at approximately 12:00pm, Decatur Police responded to a vehicle theft located at 1001 6th Ave SE (AutoZone).
Upon arrival police learned that a white male, who was identified as Anthony Melson, stole a Maroon Dodge Ram 3500 that was parked in the parking lot. Later that day, Melson was located in the stolen Dodge Ram 3500 on Browns Ferry Rd in Limestone County. The truck had been involved in a single vehicle wreck. The truck, was recovered and Melson was transported to the Decatur City Police Department.
Melson was later charged with Theft of Property in the 1st Degree and was booked in the Decatur City Jail. Melson was later transferred to Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,000.00 bond.”
