UPDATE ON SHOOTING VICTIM- The following is an update on the shooting from April 12: Jason Montalto, a 27-
year-old male from Florence was shot once and stabbed once in his neck and head area while at work at American Wholesale. He underwent surgery overnight and is
responsive. He is still listed as stable but in critical condition. We will update you as more information is obtained. The incident is still under investigation. ~ Florence Police Department
FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning an arrest in the shooting incident that took place in the Industrial Park In Florence:
“On April 12, 2022, at approximately 9:00 P.M., Florence Police received a report of a shooting at a business in the Florence Industrial Park located in the 4300 Block of Bryson Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they took Donivon Forbes into custody.
Other Officers began providing medical aid to the 27-year-old victim, that had suffered a gunshot and stab wound. EMS took over care of the victim and transported him to a waiting medevac helicopter. The victim was flown to Vanderbilt UMC for treatment. The victim is stable but still in critical condition.
Donivon Forbes was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He is currently being held on a $60,000 bond.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
