Susie Vaughn Cornelius, 78, of Tuscumbia passed away Friday, October 04, 2019. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 6, at Caryton Cemetery with Rev. Michael Adams officiating.
Susie Vaughn Cornelius, 78, of Tuscumbia passed away Friday, October 04, 2019. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 6, at Caryton Cemetery with Rev. Michael Adams officiating.
Susie was a native of Colbert County, Alabama, a graduate of CVHS Class of 1959, and a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Church. Susie was preceded in death by her husbands, Pete Vaughn and Jimmy Cornelius; parents, Grover and Birdie Hayes; and brother, Nathaniel “Ned” Hayes.
She is survived by her stepson, Leslie Cornelius; brothers, Robert Grover Hayes, Jr. and Joe Hayes; sister, Jessie Peterson; nieces, Joanie Burns, Judy Dorman, C.J. Vann, and Suzanne Handley; and nephews, Robbie Hayes and Joel Hayes.
