Susan Y. May, age 86, of Sheffield, died Tuesday, January 06, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of the Shoals and was retired after thirty-three years of service from South Central Bell. She was a member of York Terrace Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, 1-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rodney Shewbart officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mrs. May was preceded in death by her son, Mark May, brother, Bill Yeatman and sister, Clara Yeatman.
She is survived by her husband, Bill May of Sheffield, son, Mike May of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Megan May of Minnesota, Justin May of Milwaukee and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jim Holland, Mike Holland, Billy Ray Pennington, Gary Jordan, David Walton and Kirk Wallace.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
