Mrs. Susan “Sue” D. Fortune, age 62, passed away in her sleep the morning of Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born May 25, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana to Edward Woodard and Wilma Davis Woodard. She married Fred Fortune on November 27, 1977. They moved to the Verona area in 1986 from Corinth, MS where they had lived since 1984. Sue always made sure her loved ones knew how much they meant to her, family and friends alike. Those who knew her will miss her dearly and her fellow followers of the Lord await the day they will see her again in the heavenly kingdom.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors from 5 PM to 6 PM.
She left behind Fred, her loving husband of 43 years. She is also survived by her children, Chris (and Susanna), Chip (and Megan), Simonne (and Russell), her grandchildren, Hannah, Tristan, Samantha, Will, Matthew, and Meredith, her great granddaughter, Taylor, and her sisters and brothers. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Woodard.
