Susan Jeanell Pettus Hanson, age 69, of Florence, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024. There will be a private graveside service for family later at Pettus cemetery. A memorial service for friends will be scheduled later this week.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvell and Mammie Pettus; daughter-in-law, Alyson Hanson; brother-in-law, Harold Berry; sister-in-law, Brenda Pettus.
Survivors are her loving husband of 48 years, Quinton Hanson; sons, Paul Hanson (Amanda) and Will Hanson (Meg); sister, Gail Berry; brother, Ronald Pettus; grandchildren, Henry Hanson, Peirce Hanson, Cecelia Hanson, John Hanson, Hudson Perry, Harper Perry and one on the way, Charlotte.
In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Tunnels to Towers. A special thanks to Clearview Cancer Center and Staff, Amedisys Home Health Care, Affinity Hospice, and especially Dee Osborne for their love and care.
