Susan Elizabeth Hixson, age 37, passed away at her home in Huntsville. She is survived by her loving parents, Jeffrey and Karen Hixson; uncles, Glen Moseley (Laura) and Barney Hixson (Gayle); and cousins, Stephanie Hixson McQueen (Josh), Cole Moseley, Emily Moseley Carr (Patrick), and Chad Brown.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Lynn and Kathleen Hixson and Marlin and Frances Moseley.
Susan was born August 22, 1985, and lived her life in the Huntsville area. She attended Jones Valley Elementary and Whitesburg Middle School and graduated from Grissom High School in 2003. She thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Grissom Band and also enjoyed playing flute in the First Baptist Church Orchestra. Some of her favorite hobbies included reading, traveling, writing, and playing trivia at local restaurants with friends. She loved her cats very much. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Orton officiating. A service at the Foster Hixson Cemetery in Hixson, TN will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Huntsville, AL music ministry.
