Sue Loosier, also known to many as Aunt Sue, Mrs. Sue, Grammer, and Mom, was a loving, faith-filled, strong woman whose devotion to her family and unwavering heart touched generations.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Valley Grove Baptist Church at 1 pm.

Sue, 79, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on November 5, 1946, to Earl and Dorothy Branam in Miami, Florida.

Sue was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her world. She was known for her strength, her deep faith, and her selfless love for those around her. Sue was a faithful member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life and her service to others. She found joy in arts and crafts, and her home was always filled with warmth, love, and the feeling of being welcome.

She is survived by her loving family:

Her mother, Dorothy Owens;

Her sister, Brenda Nixon;

Her daughters, Jeanette (Mark) Hall, Robyn Locke, and Rendy (Rusty) Harper;

Her grandchildren, Laura (Andrew) Tuttle, Joey (Megan) Frye, Brandon Hall, Makenzie Hall, Luke (Brady) Hall, Hunter (Brianna) Harper; Trent Harper.

Her great-grandson, Judson Hall;

Sister, Karen Branam

Brother, Ricky Branam

Along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Branam; her stepfather, Hardy Owens; her sister, Jeanette Branam; her brother, Tim Branam; her husband, Eugene “Dick” Locke; and Walter Loosier.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Huntsville Hospital and the Arabella Rehab nurses and doctors for their compassion, care, and kindness.

Sue will be greatly missed, and her legacy lives on through the love she gave, the faith she lived by, and the family she built.
