Sue Jeter Profile PhotoSue Jeter was born Thursday, June 5, 1930, to the late G. W. Smith and Ruby Frances Smith in Hardeman County.  She was saved at the age of nine at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

On May 28, 1961, she married Howard Jeter and they remained happily married for more than 55 years.  She lived all he life in Hardeman County.

She was a member of Shandy Baptist Church where she was church pianist for more than 50 years and, served in other capacities, as well.

She is survived by four sons, George Wayne Wiggins of Bolivar, Levourn  Wiggins (Karen) of Otto, NC, Robert Jeter (Rose)  and Charles Jeter (Cindy), both of Bolivar; three sisters, Martha  Webb and Ruth Smith (Edward) of Selmer and, Frances Sipes of Olive Branch, MS; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Baker.

The family requests that memorials be made, in her memory, to Shandy Baptist Church, Bolivar, TN.
