LIMESTONE COUNTY-Limestone County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest of a 35-year-old female accused of raping a 15-year-old boy while she was employed as a substitute teacher. Here is how the Sheriff’s Department describe the events leading up to and including the arrest:
“On 7/16/2014 Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested a 35-year-old female, Karen Dyan Holt, of Athens, and charged her with Rape 2, Sodomy 2, Sex Abuse 2. This stems from improper sexual relations with a 15-year-old male. Parents of the 15-year-old filed a complaint with Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, July 16th, after becoming suspicious of inappropriate contact between their son and Holt. The 15-year-old met Holt when she was his substitute teacher this past school year at Clements High School. Bond has been set at $40,000, where she remains in Limestone County Jail at this time.”
