FLORENCE-Bellamy Florence, a 420-capacity student housing community constructed under the direction of Mallory & Evans Development LLC, will break ground in west Florence on September 20.

“We are thrilled to see this student-housing project come to fruition in Florence,” said Florence City Councilwoman for District 1, Kaytrina Simmons. “It’s been nearly two decades since a major housing project was completed in west Florence, and I’m proud to see this type of opportunity available to our students in the Shoals.”

Bellamy Florence, an estimated $24 million construction project, will be completed in August of 2018, aligning with the commencement of the fall school semester.

Applications for residents are currently being accepted. Interested residents can visit Bellamy’s website at www.bellamyflorence.com to receive updates and enter contact information for further information regarding the application process.

“We are proud to bring first-class, luxury student apartments to the City of Florence,” explained Principal for Mallory & Evans Development LLC, Brantley Basinger. “We’re invested in the Shoals community and will have full-time management and staff onsite to meet the needs of our residents.”

The ceremony will be held on September 20 at 4:00 p.m. at 1026 West Irvine Avenue in Florence.
