Striker’s Steakhouse: Restaurant Review

I recently met a friend of mine at a restaurant in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee for dinner.  They recommended this restaurant for their good food.  I had never heard of the restaurant but was in the mood for some red meat.  The name of the restaurant is Striker’s Steakhouse.  It is located behind the Big Lots, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, off of U.S. 43.

We arrived at Striker’s at 7:30 PM on a Friday night.  The restaurant was pretty crowded by we were seated promptly.  Looking over the menu, we observed that it was a full menu with Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts.  Below is a copy of their menu.

I decided that I wanted a steak, so I picked the 14 ounce Ribeye.  A baked Potato and Baked Beans rounded out my order.   My guest ordered the Blue Hen Salad.   I want to say this now; the Servers at the restaurant were great.  Not only did they keep our beverage glasses full, but they checked on us continuously, seeing if we needed anything.   Our Server carried on conversations with us, laughing and cutting up with us.

Out food arrived shortly.  First, let me talk about my gest’s meal.  The plate was huge and it was full of salad.  They told me that it had Chicken, Lettuce, Pecans, Fruit and other things in it.  I am not a salad person, but there was a lot there.  They definitely got their money worth with this entrée.

I ordered my steak well done.  It arrived well done.  Sometimes when eating a well done steak, you get the taste of Charcoal, which I am not opposed to, but sometimes it can be over powering.  This steak was cooked through out.  Cutting into it, I saw no pink, which is how I like it.  Taking a bite, I was overcome with spices that it had been marinated in.  It was really good.  My Baked Potato was hot and not cooked too much.  It had melted butter in it when it arrived at the table.  Big Thumbs up.

Now, let’s talk about the Baked Beans.  I like Baked Beans but am very picky about them.  I like them thick.  I know that most people add onion and/or bell peppers for flavor to their Baked Beans.  I am not opposed to that, but I don’t like either seasons to be over powering.  I also do not like the onion or bell pepper to be chunky in the beans.  These Baked Beans at Striker’s were awesome.  They were thick.  Also there was a slight onion flavor but I could not find any onions in the beans.   Onion Powder?  I don’t know but they were great.

In closing I must say that I we very impressed with Striker’s Steakhouse.  I could not recommend to you enough, to visit this restaurant.  I don’t think you will be disappointed.  The staff was great.  The food was excellent.  But more important, the environment was relaxing.  I am going to rate them 4 out of 5 Cheese Sticks.
