Streatie Cannon, age 95, of Floyds Knobs, IN passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at The Villages at Historic Silvercrest in New Albany, IN. She was a native of Alabama, retired from Borg Warner as a timekeeper, and enjoyed bowling. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Michigan and Park Grove Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Eli and Missie Bell McGee Michael; her husband, Earl B. Cannon; son-in-law, Charlie Best; one brother, Milton Michael; and three sisters, Nell Smith, Vernie Farrington, and Birdie Bennett.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Best of New Boston, MI; one son, Dwayne Cannon of Floyds Knobs, IN; one grandson, Kyle Best of Lincoln Park, MI; and one brother, Delma Michael of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, February 01, 2024, and from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday, February 02, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Friday, February 02, 2024, with Ricky Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
