Stoney Ray Waldon – Obituary

Our beloved brother, nephew, uncle and friend, Stoney Ray Waldon, 39, resident of the Walnut Community and Tippah County logger, died Sunday evening July 8, 2018 as the result of an vehicle accident that occurred in Falkner.
Funeral Service honoring the life of Stoney, known by many as “Baby Duke” will be at 12 noon Wednesday July 11 at Lowry Methodist Church with Bro. Doc Shelton and Bro. Kenneth Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements will be provided by The Ripley Funeral Home.
Stoney was born November 1, 1978 in Tippah County and was the son of the late Lee Boyd and Linda Moore Waldon. He received his education at Falkner High School and was a devoted long time employee of the David Rolison Logging Company in Tippah County at the time of his death.
A Christian, Stoney was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He loved children and received much pleasure in being an “Uncle”. Stoney will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation will continue Wednesday until service time at Lowry Methodist Church.
Stoney leaves his sister, Regina Gunn (Jeff) of Walnut, two brothers, Jerry Waldon of Pine Grove and Tony Waldon of Walnut, two nieces, Caitlin Holley and Samantha Jeter (Bobby) , a nephew, Josh Holley, three great nieces, three great nephews and a host of family and friends.
