Steven R. Saarinen, 72, entered into the presence of the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015.
He was a native of Franklin County, Alabama, and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. Per his wishes, he will be laid to rest in a private graveside ceremony by his three sons at Shady Grove (Nix) Cemetery, Liberty Hill.
Survivors include his sons, Jeff Saarinen and wife, LaDonna, Bobby Saarinen, and Mark Saarinen; grandchildren, Gabriel Miller and wife, Tabitha, and Kaylee Saarinen; great-grandchildren, Dillan and Kyndal Wingo; brothers, John Saarinen and wife, Cheri, and Phillip Saarinen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances McMurry Saarinen, and parents, Rudy and Marilyn Saarinen.
