Steven Quinn Buckelew, 56 of Arab passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at his residence. He was born March 22, 1970, the son of Laveral Buckelew and Jewel Wood Buckelew. Steven was a 1988 graduate of A.P. Brewer High School and received an associate’s degree from Wallace State Community College. He married Shannon Nicole “Nikki” Hayes on June 8, 1996, and together they celebrated 30 years of marriage. He worked at Adtran until his health required him to retire and was a member of Liberty Church. Steven enjoyed cooking and being involved in his boys’ activities when they were in school. An avid Florida State fan, Steven was best known as a devoted husband and loving father.
He is survived by his wife: Nikki Buckelew; sons: Zachary Quinn Buckelew and Nathaniel Kade Buckelew, his fiancé: Amy Espitia; he was a bonus grandad to Kaiden, Adrianna and Kalianna; brothers: Roger Buckelew (Martha) and Johnny Buckelew (Penny); host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Keith Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
