Mr. Steven Phillip Morgan, 54, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Mr. Morgan was born and raised in Huntsville, graduated in 1985 from Butler High School, was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a Master Mason and Shriner. Steven was in the 10th Mountain Division Airborne and jumped with the Golden Knights. Some of the medals he received include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism, Service Medal Noncommissioned, Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, US Army Recruiter Gold Badge with 3 Stars and Army Basic Recruiter Badge with Gold Achievement Star. He received his Master’s degree from Florida Institute of Technology. He was an Avid Alabama Fan.
Survivors include his son, Terry Andrew Morgan (Sydney); parents, Terry and Jackie Morgan; brothers, Chris Morgan (Laura) and Mike Morgan (Tammy); and loyal companion, Maximus the Pug.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Maple Hill Cemetery.
