Steven Michael Asafaylo, born September 10, 1957, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. Steve proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and later dedicated over 30 years to grocery store management.
Known for his generous spirit, Steve never met a stranger and was always ready to help anyone in need. He had a heart as big as his personality and loved everyone deeply—but perhaps none more than his beloved dogs.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Asafaylo; daughters, Nicole McLeroy and Stephanie Asafaylo; step-sons, Justin (Angie) Feasel, Ryan (Jordan) Feasel, and Drew Campbell; and six cherished grandchildren: Kira Cruz-Richardson, Dean McLeroy, Bethany Call, Carson Feasel, Kristin Feasel, and Parker Feasel.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Blount County Animal Adoption Center in Steve’s memory.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Adams Brown Service Funeral Home is honored to serve the Asafaylo family.
