Funeral service for Steven Mark Posey, age 61, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home. Private interment will take place at Macedonia Cemetery.
Mark was born on October 18, 1961, in Decatur, AL to Lillian Crawford Posey and the late David Almon Posey. He was an MTSU graduate and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Posey worked as General Manager of Lincoln County Farmers Co-Op and was a cattle farmer. Mark loved the Lord, his family, his work family and his cows. He passed away on June 19, 2023.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 40 years, Missy Posey; children, Steven (Linnae) Posey, David Posey, Samantha Grace (Bobby) Shelton, and William Posey all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Keilah Posey, Michael Shelton, and Jackman Shelton; brothers, Alan (Daphne) Posey of Hazel Green, and Richard (Sandra) Posey of Fayetteville; and nieces and nephews, Andrea (Buddy) Wilson, Mark (Daniel) Posey, and Tiffany (Shaquille) Bankston and their families.
