Steven "Steve" Jenkins Profile Photo Steven Jerome Jenkins, 50,  beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the NMMC-Gilmore in Amory. He was born in Amory on October 12, 1973 in Amory.  He was a graduate of Hatley High School, Class of 1992.  He later graduated from ICC and began a longtime career in Information technology.  He was a Systems Administration Manager at Bancorp South and later Cadence Bank.  Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication and passion for helping others.  More than anything, Steve was a devoted son.  Never having any children of his own, he was a proud uncle and considered his nieces and nephews his own.  He loved to tell them stories, play games and watch TV with each of them.  He was a constant and steady source of guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what he faced in life.  Aside from his family, his other passion was being in the woods hunting or on a pool of water fishing.  He loved to share his wisdom, knowledge and enthusiasm of hunting with others.  He served as Vice President of Greenhill Hunting Club and volunteered for various other causes.  Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steve is survived by his father, Pete Jenkins, Smithville; mother, Sonjia Oliver (Wayne), Baker, FL; sisters, Tonya Petty (Chris), Smithville and Elizabeth “Betsy” Landers, Fulton; brother, Brian Jenkins (Josie), Columbus; nieces and nephews, Gabriele Petty LeBlanc (Treis), Saucier, MS, Will Petty, Fulton, Katelyn Coker (Jabin Hall) Fulton, Ashli Solomon (Garett) McKenzie, TN, Ella Jenkins, Columbus, JP Jenkins, Columbus and Ezra Jenkins, Columbus; great nephew, Caden Solomon, McKenzie, TN.

Funeral Services for Steve will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Will Petty, Treis LeBlanc, David Baker, Kevin Kimbrough, Brandon Jenkins, Rodney Guyton, Josh Guyton and Ryan Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Sims, David Jenkins and Korie Jenkins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday Evening, March 28,  at the funeral home from 5-8 PM.
