Steven Gregory McDysan, 61, of Huntsville, AL passed away September 17, 2025, in his home in South Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Edna and Lyle McDysan, and his sister, Debra Parker. He is survived by his niece, Christine Benson.

Steve was born in Huntsville and graduated from Grissom High School. He attended the University of Alabama prior to enlisting in the US Army. He proudly served in the Army, deploying for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Steve’s military awards include the National Defense Service Medal, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal.

After discharge from active duty, Steve pursued a career in logistics as a regional truck driver for Werner Enterprises. He logged over one million safe miles on routes spanning from Chicago to Orlando. Steve loved classic American cars, especially Mustangs, and was an avid collector of model cars. He was also a voracious reader and enjoyed watching movies.

A family and friends graveside memorial, with military honors, will be held at Huntsville Memory Gardens on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 1 p.m.
