Steve D. Copeland, 55 of Joppa, died Friday May 6, 2016 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
Steve was born on June 28, 1960 in Marshall County the son of Hershall D. Copeland & Betty Fay Easterwood Copeland. He was a 1979 graduate of Fairview High School and worked for Hays Aircraft as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic until his retirement in 2001. Steve was a Mason in the Arab Lodge #663 and enjoyed gardening. He and the former Susan Jeanette Weaver were married on June 29, 2007.
Steve was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife Susie Copeland; his mother: Betty Fay Copeland; his father and mother-in-law: James & Peggy Weaver; brother-in-law: Jimmy Weaver; sisters-in-law: Uvone Copeland, Myra Weaver, Belinda Bowman, Lynn Hyatt (Tony), Sharon Kirby (Ken) and a host of Nieces and Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: Hershall D. Copeland and a brother: Franklin H. Copeland.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday- May 9, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Ken Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Lacey’s Spring with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be Ken Kirby, Tyler Kirby, John Murphy, Michael Newton, Donahue Nix and Dusty Nix.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday May 9, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
