Mr. Stephen Wade Beeler, better known as Steve, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 on his 63rd birthday, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Steve retired after 33 years with State Highway Dept. and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Mr. Winfred Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Beeler is survived by his daughter, Kadee Roden of Scottsboro; long time love, Lynn Leighton of Section; father, Albert Beeler of Scottsboro; brother, Thomas “Mike” Beeler; sister, Melissa (Anthony) McLaughlin, all of Scottsboro; grandchildren, Morgan Hathcock, Ruby Roden, and Beck Roden all of Scottsboro; nieces Mary Beeler of Lacy Springs and Alison (Austin) Wright of Scottsboro; nephew, Bo (Kristan) McLaughlin. Also LaMyra and Ryan Patterson and Erika Leighton who called him “Dad”; special cousin, Judi Whiteman; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Beeler.
