Stephen Eugene Nix, 41, of Russellville, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Shoals Hospital. He worked for Alabama Department of Transportation, a dedicated member of East Franklin Fire Department, and an avid Alabama fan.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, from noon to 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with David Michael officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Nix; brothers, Timmy Thomas and Chris Nix; stepmother, Nola Nix.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy; children, Chelsea (Jonathan) Bates, Shantah and Katelin Nix; father, Eugene Nix; sister, Tammy (Patrick) Nelson; stepchildren, Amber George, Kayla George, and Ava Hamm; grandchildren, Kylie and Zayden.
