Stephen Blaine Ellzey, 74 of Huntsville, Alabama passed with family by his side on August 9, 2025, at Crestwood hospital from Congestive Heart failure and Pancreatic Cancer. Steve was born in Laurel, Mississippi on Nov. 29,1950, to George E. Ellzey and Pauline Touchstone Ellzey. His family moved to Huntsville in 1963 with Steve graduating from Huntsville High School and attending UNA in Florence. He was proud to work for multiple aerospace defense contractors as a Configuration Mgt. Specialist until retirement. Steve was honored to be a member of the Army National Guard for over 15 years, receiving an honorable discharge as a SPECIAL FORCES Jumpmaster Specialist. He was an avid golfer both before and after retirement and loved to golf, gamble and travel with all his BEGA friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Talley Ellzey of Huntsville Alabama; two sons, Stephen Blaine Ellzey Jr (Marty) of Deatsville, AL and Wesley S Baker (Angela) of Durango, CO; brothers, Kenneth Ellzey (Cindy) and Charles Timothy Ellzey both of Huntsville, Alabama, sisters-in-law, Daphne Talley Murray (Steve) of New Albany, OH and Joan Talley Wise (Scot) of Cumming, GA; granddaughters, Brianna Poe and Aubrey Perkins; great-grandson, Damien Ellzey, all of Deatsville, Alabama; along with numerous nieces and nephews and special friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Pauline Ellzey; brother, George E Ellzey Jr; nephew, Josh Ellzey; and niece, Kenzie Ellzey.

A private family graveside service will be held at Huntsville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
