Stella Yvonne Armstrong Garmany, 80 of Arab, Alabama, Mobbs School Community, died Tuesday September 6, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Garmany was born February 23, 1936 in Tennessee to James Eugene Armstrong and Corinne Yvonne Stevens Armstrong. She was a home maker and enjoyed quilting and crafts. She moved to Arab in 1965 from Decatur, Alabama.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years: William Travis Garmany; daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Randel Garrison, Becky and Greg Tidmore; son and daughters-in-law: Steve and Lisa Garmany and Susan Garmany; Grandchildren: Craig Garrison, Amelia Garrison, Hayley Tidmore, Clay Tidmore, Luke Tidmore, Erin OBed, Jordan Stribling, Mackenzie Garmany, Slate Garmany, Jason Garmany, and Josh Garmany; nine great grandchildren; special sisters and friends Ileen German and Doris Cruise. She was preceded in death by her parents: J.E. and Corinne Armstrong; her son Mike Garmany; her granddaughter: Jennifer Hallmark and a brother: Eugene Armstrong.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday September 9, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Rev. Josh Garmany, officiating. Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Craig Garrison, Jason Garmany, Slate Garmany, Clay Tidmore, Luke Tidmore and Randel Garrison.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday September 8, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
