Stella Marie Vess, 90, of Tuscumbia, passed away October 2, 2018. Visitation will be today, October 5th from 11 am. to 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Greg Woodall officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Leighton.
Stella was a lifetime member of Spring Valley Church of God. In spite of her physical limitations, she attended faithfully every Sunday when she had transportation to the church.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Ethel Buchan, Hattie McDonald, John Vess, Leland Vess, Lula Bell Harrison, Edna Earl Vess and an infant brother. Survivors include her siblings, Elsie Berryman, Harold Vess (Mamie) and Charles Vess; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
