Stella Mae McClendon, age 73 of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Her visitation will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Roger Lovelady. Burial will follow in Hale Cemetery in Killen.
Stella was a native of Lauderdale County and a member of Second Baptist Church in Sheffield. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward McClendon; parents, Robert and Laura Robertson; and brother, Noah Lee Robertson.
She is survived by her sons, James Anthony McClendon and wife Sheri, Michael Lynn McClendon, and James Wayne McClendon and wife Jennifer; daughter, Faye Austin and husband Ron; brothers, Willie Robertson and Buddy Robertson; sister, Helen Goodman; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Prince, Bubba James, Ron Austin, Corey Austin, Jacob Austin, and Tim Pounders.
The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of Kindred Hospice and Keller Landing Nursing and Rehab.
