Ms. Stella Mae Green, age 98, of Guin, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 8th, 2014 at her residence.
Visitation, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10th, 2014, at the Norwood Funeral Home. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 11th, 2014, at the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel, Guin, Alabama. Bro. James Carrington and Bro. Mark Riggs officiating. Burial in the Guin City Cemetery.
Ms. Green was born June 24th, 1916, in Marion County, Alabama to the late Jackson and Mary Jones Harris. She had lived in Marion County most of her life and grew up in a mining camp. She was a member of the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Mary (Hubert) Lolley of Guin, AL.,; 3 sons, Lee Roy Green of Guin, AL., Troy (Nellie) Green of Guin, AL., and Junior (Arlene) Green of Winfield, AL.; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson and Mary Jones Harris; her mother Derusha Overton Harris; her husband Grady Lee Green; 1 son, Rayburn Green and daughter-in-law, Nell Green; 1 sister; 7 brothers; and 1 great-great-grandson.
