Our beloved mother, Stella M. Phillips received her wings on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was so ready to go home to be with Jesus her savior and rejoice in the Kingdom with all of our loved ones that had went on before. Although we are saddened, we are rejoicing also,,,,,,what a blessed home coming!!!!!!!!!! Mom was born in Rita, West Virginia which was a coal camp in Logan County.
She was preceded death by her husband of fifty years, Travis J. Phillips. Her beloved parents George Smita (Ada) and Helen Toth (Logie) Hall. Brother George (Ruth) Smith Jr and Grandparents Barnabus (Mary Antil) Toth. Brother James Phillips and sisters Robbie Harris and Betty Moore.
Momma is survived by four sons and one daughter Joey (Becky) Phillips of Lexington. Lindsay (Frances) Phillips of Lexington. Logie (Angie) Phillips of Florence. Travis J. Phillips II of Hamilton and daughter Mary Frances Phillips (Emmett Heathcoat) of Rogersville. She is blessed with brother Joe Phillips (Kelly) of Ohio. Sister in Laws, Carol Sue Davis of Florence and Shirley Phillips of Columbia, TN. She has three grandsons, Dustin (Brandi) Phillips parents of Luke and Levi, Christopher (Brandi) parents of Olivia Kate and Rhett. and Jackson Tucker.
She was blessed with many friends and she loved them all, especially her adopted boys Butch Morrison, Ronnie Davis and Rick Lyles, and she adored her best buddy from Moulton, Mr. Don Proctor. She loved her special nieces Connie Sandlin and the precious Mandy Eastep. You gave her so much joy!!!!!!!!.
Her service will be held on Sunday, the 26th at Spry Funeral Home in Athens at 1 pm. Burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 11 am until service time. Thank you Gentiva… I appreciate you all !!!!!!!!!! Pallbearers will be her family.
