Stella Louise Wright Mays, age 75, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bells, TN. Funeral Services for Ms. Mays will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at 2:00 PM, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with Bro. Mark McSwain and Danny Watson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2020, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Stella was born on December 21, 1944, in Shelby County, TN. She is survived by her mother, Christine Johnson Watson of the Hillville Community; two sons, Jeffrey M. McBride (Sylvia) of Cordova, TN and Kenneth L. McBride (Lavell) of Brownsville, TN; one daughter, Tina Vickers (David) of Bartlett, TN; one brother, Danny Watson (Marcia) of Whiteville, TN; four sisters, Ernestine Tinsley (Charles) of Stanton, TN, Geraldine Hoskins (Cecil) of Somerville, TN, Joann Dowdy (Ronnie) of Somerville, TN, and Sandra Fulghum (Gordon) of the Hillville Community. She leaves a legacy of 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Watson and one grandchild, Chadrick McBride. Pallbearers are Danny Lynn Watson, Joey Craig, Hunter McBride, Matthew McBride, Peyton Garner, and Adam Scott. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Tinsley, Kevin Watson, Westyn Craig and William McBride. The family has requested Memorials be given to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Sharolett Allen, c/o InSouth Bank, P.O. Box 879, Brownsville, TN 38012.
