Stella graduated from the Beauty School of Cosmetology on Peoria, Illinois and later worked as a beautician in Clifton,Tennessee. She had also worked as a sewing machine operator at Clifton Manufacturing. Stella was a honorary member of the Civinette Club in Columbia, Tennessee where she resided from 1964 until 1982. In 1982 She moved to Savannah, Tennessee and became a member of First Baptist Church. Stella loved to cook, especially chocolate pies and work in her flower garden. She loved her family and the Lord very much.
Stella is survived by her step children, Jean Underwood of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and Fred Blair, Jr. of Bartlett, Tennessee; step grandchildren, Bethany Mann, Kristen Blair, Michael Blair, Chris Blair, and Daniel Underwood; eleven step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Stella was preceded in death by her step son, David Blair; step grandson, Jeff Blair; sisters, Pearl Matlock, Geneva Thompson, Nannie Holder, Willie Ann Hurst; and Claris Hardin and brothers, Kenneth Fraley, Wilton Battles, and Farris Fraley
