Stella Ann Sammons, of Sun City Center, Florida passed from this life at the age of 83 on July 25, 2020.
Mrs. Sammons was born October 26, 1936, in Bolivar, TN to Isaac and Bonnie Hatch Cross. They moved to the Memphis area prior to living in Huron, Ohio where she lived most of her childhood. She returned to Adamsville for some time as an adult and then on to Sun City Center, Florida for the remainder of her life. She had the great pleasure of meeting Elvis Presley in 1968. Mrs. Sammons was a pilot, a business woman, and entrepreneur, as she owned and ran the Country Oasis located in Selmer, TN for many years.
Survivors include her two sons, Dan Sammons of Lithia, FL and Tony Sammons of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Sandra Carroll (Gawaine), Theresa Smith and Linda King (John); two brothers, Bruce Cross and Tommy Cross (Wanda); three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Joyce Kay.
