Starri Sky Sides, age 13, of Spruce Pine, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 04, 2025, at her residence.
Starri was going into the 8th grade at Phil Campbell High School and was a member of the Percussion section of the high school band. She loved music, drawing, doing hair and makeup, and being around her friends and family. She was a cheerleader when she was younger, was a cheer coach at Phil Campbell Youth League, and loved to play basketball. She loved the Lord and attended Witness Outreach Church. To know Starri was to instantly love her. She was very protective of her brother and sister, as well as all her friends. She was a very kind and nurturing person, always wanting to make sure kids were not being bullied. The one thing that everyone will remember about Starri was her hugs, she simply gave the best hugs ever and that they would be missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Tiffany Sides; father, William Sides (Nettie); siblings, Riley Sides, Izaiah Hamilton; grandparents, Tim Hamilton (Teresa), Jackie Sides (Gail), Michael Heath (Kaye); great-grandmother, Margaret Hamilton; aunts, Kristy Heath (Dylan Jones), Alexandria Ellis (Bradley), Monica Raineri (Danny), Cortney Hudson (Jerry); uncles, Tyler Foster (Katie), Daniel Foster, Ethan Foster, Daniel Sides (Audrey); cousins, Nevaeh Parks, Brooklyn Foster, Bailey Foster, Reid Foster; and a whole host of friends.
