Stanley Miller Plattenburg, 79, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of 55 years; daughter, Sonya Sisk (Charles); granddaughter, Ashley; grandson, Haden. In addition, two sisters, Hughlene Rapien and Mary Ann Felton; one niece and three nephews.

Stanley loved Huntsville. He worked 30 years at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and thought it was a privilege to be a part of the Apollo/Saturn program to Space Station development. He enjoyed tending to the yard and flower garden; otherwise, he’d rather be traveling. He was a member of the West Huntsville Church of Christ.

Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a 2:30 graveside service with Paul Owen and Roy Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
