Stanley Edward Cox – Obituary

Stanley Edward Cox, 88, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Home. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He was retired from Reynolds of over 35 years and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow immediately in the chapel with Jason Vinson officiating. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Corey Cox, Jeffrey Martin, Hunter Roberson, Drew Cottrell, Samuel Cox, and Dustin Cottrell; honorary, Austin Martin, Tyler Jackson, Jonah Wood, Owen Hollander, Myles Hollander, and Levi Cox.
Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Addie Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Flora E. Cox; children, Calvin (Judy) Cox, Carolyn (Mike) Martin, Harold (Diana) Cox, and Daniel (Brenda Douglas) Cox; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen (Dot) Cox and Martin (Frances) Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews, stepgrandchildren, and stepgreat-grandchildren.
