Stanley Duane Lyons
Born October 1, 1949, Stanley Duane Lyons entered this world to begin a life of service and love to all he encountered. His heroism spanned from his service in the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department to being an organ donor in order to save multiple lives through his departure on February 18, 2022. He is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and has joined his father, Elmer Pendleton Lyons; mother, Hassie Phillips Lyons; two sisters, Mildred Lyons Eads and Alma Lyons Gallimore; and two brothers, Tommy Lyons and Roger Lyons walking the streets of glory. He has left sweet memories to share between his wife, Lou Ann O’Dell Lyons; son, Stanley Duane Lyons Jr. and grandchildren, Tiffany Dionne Hyder Higgins and Jeremy Maxell Lyons; daughter, Laurie Lyons Viers and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Elizabeth Morgan Viers and Matthew Bryant Viers; great granddaughter, Casyn Kimberlyann Kelly; siblings, James Lyons, Iris Williams, and Anita Dean; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family will be celebrating his life at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home in Athens, AL from 9:00-11:00 am on February 23, 2022, with a brief service at 11:00 am, followed by graveside prayer at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, TN.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, make donations to the Gideons and Huntsville Downtown Rescue Mission.
