KILLEN-The Standoff with a fugitive from Florida and Law enforcement is still going on in Killen at the Super 8 Motel.
The standoff started around 6:30 A.M. on Thursday morning, October 6 when Federal Marshalls tried to serve a warrant on a suspect who was wanted for failure to appear on charges in Florida for firing a missile or weapon into a vehicle or dwelling and four counts of aggregated assault with a deadly weapon.
Authorities say the suspect tried to escape through a backdoor. Deputy Richey said the fugitive fired several shots at officers then retreated back into the room and locked the door. Deputies say as many as five people could be inside the room with the fugitive.
