Mr. Stan Vines, age 72, of Scottsboro, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Stan was a devoted Sunday school teacher, preacher of the gospel, who loved God, his family, and church family. He was a retired United States Marine who loved and served his country proudly.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Dewberry officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Vines is survived by the love of his life for 22 years, Sally Ann Vines; children, Tony (Clara) Vines, Sherry (Bryan) Yates, and Jeremy (Jennifer) Yates; grandchildren, Allee Yates, Isaiah Yates, and Noah Yates; mother in law, Georgia Adams; brother in law, Billy Ray (Martha) Jones; and special fur baby, Jake Vines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Wilma Vines; sister in law, Darlene Short; and uncle, Lewis Vines.
