Stacey Grisham, 46, passed away just before midnight on February 21, 2018, in Pulaski, Tennessee, after a lengthy illness. He was a loving husband, son, and brother, and a supportive and devoted stepfather. A native of Decatur, Stacey attended the University of North Alabama and subsequently trained at the Florida Culinary Institute, launching a career as a highly creative executive chef that took him to Florida resorts, Duke University, and a number of other diverse restaurants and institutions. He had the opportunity to cook for many celebrities including Stevie Wonder and President George W. Bush. He had a wickedly dry (and sometimes inappropriate) sense of humor, enjoyed online gaming and raising tropical fish. He was an avid fan of Alabama football—Roll Tide! He loved sharing his talent, creativity, and passion for cooking great food with family and friends.
Stacey is survived by his loving wife, Laura Corrine Grisham, and beloved stepdaughter, Kalin Reed Fraker; his mother, Bobbie McCrary Sandlin; father, Daryl Keith Grisham and his wife, Kathy; his sister, April Nicole Grisham and nephew, Jackson Keith Grisham; his grandmother Mary Naomi McCrary; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Stacey is predeceased by his brother, Jordan Keith Grisham.
Saved and baptized as a young man, Stacey renewed his Christian faith in the presence of his family.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Bennett-May-Giles Funeral Home, 1910 Elkton Pike, Pulaski, TN 38478.
